Designer Nate Cotterman is recognized for using traditional Venetian glass blowing techniques to create his modern yet simple forms, highlighting the natural beauty of the material. Originally based in Los Angeles, he relocated to North Carolina in 2018 as one of seven artists in residence at Penland School of Crafts. Currently, he is building his own hot shop and growing his business alongside other talented makers. Cotterman graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in glass and teaches at multiple schools around the United States.
